Registrar Ready Program You are here:HomeEducationPre - SET Surgical Society Registrar Ready Program Objective St Vincent’s Pre-SET Society runs two sessions a year with a focus on preparing for the transition from resident to registrar. Each day has multiple sessions from unit consultants and registrars on topics such as running a ward round, operating room etiquette, preoperative and postoperative management of surgical patients, and much more! It's a great opportunity to ask questions and practice 'assumed skills' prior to the operating room. The topics are based on the procedural skills and professional capabilities applicable to application to both general surgery and other surgical specialties and to becoming a competent registrar. The program complements the Surgical Essentials Program run by the Medical Education Department.
