Join a Trial You are here:HomeResearchClinical TrialsJoin a Trial How to be part of a clinical trial Clinical trials are sometimes advertised within the hospital and via the media. If you are interested in participating in a clinical trial, speak to your treating doctor regarding any potential trials that may be suitable for you. If there is a suitable trial available, you may be contacted or referred to by a member of the medical research team. It is important that you have an in-depth discussion with your healthcare provider and medical researchers before undertaking the trial. Participation in research is voluntary and you can only be a part of the research if informed consent is given. It is also important to know that you are able to leave a clinical trial at any time and are not obliged to remain in a trial if you no longer wish to participate.
