Volunteers You are here:HomePatients & VisitorsPatient Information and ServicesVolunteers St Vincent's has a number of volunteers who support staff, patients and family members. Volunteers undertake a range of tasks throughout the hospital and wear an identification badge and St Vincent's volunteers' vest. Our Volunteers receive Hospital Orientation and training where required. Some of the ways our volunteers can help include: Providing companionship for our patients Escorting and assisting patients and visitors Assisting on various wards Administration Pet Therapy program Prospective Volunteers need to meet the following criteria: Be 18 or older Attend a volunteer information session Attend Volunteer training session Undertake immunisation checks Undergo a criminal record clearance check Sign a confidentiality agreement & code of conduct agreement Commit to at least 12 months of Volunteering Be punctual and reliable Be well presented
