Visitor Restrictions

Visitor restrictions are currently in place across all St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne sites. These arrangements are to help keep our patients and visitors safe.

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent's Hospital on the Park

  • A maximum of two visitors at a time
  • Visiting hours are from 11am to 6.30pm
  • Visit duration to be negotiated between local management and patient's family
  • Face masks are optional in public spaces and most of our clinical areas. Some high-risk areas may continue to recommend that visitors wear masks - keep an eye our at entrances to these areas.

St George's Hospital

  • A maximum of two visitors at a time
  • Visiting hours are from 11am to 6.30pm
  • Visit duration to be negotiated between local management and patient's family
  • All visitors are required to wear a surgical mask in clinical areas

Caritas Christi

  • Up to four visitors at the bedside, no maximum number per day
  • Visiting hours are from 10am to 8pm
  • All visitors are required to wear a surgical mask in clinical areas

Residential Aged Care

  • Visiting hours are from 10am to 7pm
  • A maximum of two visitors at a time (additional visitors may be granted provided physical distancing guidance can be maintained and by prior arrangement with the Manager/Nurse in Charge)
  • All visitors are required to wear a surgical mask for their visit
  • All visitors must attest to a negative RAT* prior to entry and complete the attestation prior to entry

* Negative RAT must be taken on the same day as the visit
