Pain Clinic for Older People You are here:HomeHealth ProfessionalsGP LiaisonCommunity and Home ServicesPain Clinic for Older People Service overview The Pain Clinic for Older People is an outpatient service at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, St George’s Hospital Kew that combines the practices of pain medicine with geriatric medicine. It focuses on pain management in older people who are frail or have multiple co-existing health problems. Team members Geriatrician/Pain Specialist Nurse Practitioner Physiotherapist Clinical Psychologist Administrative staff Service delivery The clinic offers appointments initially of an hour with the Nurse. A subsequent new 1-3 hour re-appointment is made with the team. All appointments are on Friday mornings within the clinic. Follow up appointments may be arranged where appropriate. Follow up services (if required) may be arranged with our Community Rehabilitation Service at Kew or Fairfield, other programs throughout St Vincent’s or community providers.
