The Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System recognised the important roles families/carers/supporters undertake in caring for people with mental health and substance use issues. Carers Can Ask (CCA) is a resource to assist discussion about treatment, discharge planning and post discharge support. The resource also provides a guide to services and important information for carers to enable them to provide ongoing care and to seek their own support.
