NDIS Service You are here:HomeOur ServicesDepartments and ServicesN General Information The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to eligible Australians who were either born with or acquire a permanent and significant disability. The NDIS funds reasonable and necessary supports and services related to a person’s disability, to assist them and their family to achieve their goals such as greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life. St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne are proud to be registered NDIS provides and provide an array of NDIS services. St Vincent’s Health Australia’s origins go back more than 180 years to when the first five sisters of Charity arrived in Australia, we pride ourselves on our compassion, integrity, justice and excellence and we look forward to assisting you through your NDIS journey. Our services include: Prosthetic and Orthotics assessment, manufacture and fitting Shared living arrangements in residential aged care homes for participants whose care needs can no longer be met at home and need assistance with daily life tasks or healthcare Allied Health services are provided at our Fitzroy and Kew sites, as well as at participants' homes and community settings. Residential Care is provided at three sites: Berengarra and Prague House, both co-located with St George’s Health Service, Kew and at Auburn House in Hawthorn East.
