The Body Image & Eating Disorders Treatment & Recovery Service (BETRS) is a collaborative partnership between the mental health programs of Austin Health and St Vincent’s Melbourne. BETRS provides services for people who reside in the catchments of the Northern and Eastern Area Mental Health Services of metropolitan Melbourne, and the Goulburn and North Eastern Hume Area mental Health Services of rural Victoria. To determine if you are in the BETRS catchment area you can download area maps here: BETRS Catchment map
or access the Victorian Government website to view a detailed list of service areas and services available by clicking on the link http://www.health.vic.gov.au/mentalhealth/services/adult/index.htm
Our outpatient campus in Kew is a community-based service for people with eating disorders, their families and carers. In conjunction with the Inpatient Specialist Eating Disorder Unit located at the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg, the BETRS service contributes to a continuum of care between primary, tertiary, inpatient and community based services.
