For those seeking information about St V’s involvement; eight people attended our Emergency Department, six were admitted suffering a variety of injuries, none of them life threatening. St Vincent’s would like to acknowledge our hospital staff – theatre, wards, pathology, imaging, security and support staff – who ensured everything ran smoothly in such distressing circumstances, and our patients received the care they needed.
We would also like to acknowledge the various agencies who are involved in dealing with this distressing event; particularly Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria. Their care and consideration helped make our work run more smoothly.
