Nexus Dual Diagnosis Consultation Service

Located at St Vincent's hospital, Nexus is a component of the Victorian Dual Diagnosis Initiative (VDDI).  The role of Nexus is to enhance workforce capability across Clinical Mental Health (MH), Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) and Mental Health Community Support Services (MHCSS) sectors in managing a client’s co-occurring mental health and substance use issues. Since the launch of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System (RCVMHS) in February 2021, Nexus has focused on distilling and disseminating information to the health sector regarding the implications of the recommendations. 

NEXUS is not a direct clinical service provider.
